Patton I

General George Patton

Below is the scene from Patton where the General asks his chaplain to compose a "weather prayer." The prayer was printed on 250,000 cards and distributed to the 3rd Army.

(Editor's Note:  I went to see the newly released Patton in the theater at Fairchild Air Force Base. When the lights dimmed, a giant American flag filled the screen. Everyone in the audience rose from their seats and stood at attention. They were expecting the National Anthem instead of the opening scene of the film.)
